Cookie Policy

Last updated July 2026 · Template copy, not legal advice. Have it reviewed before launch.

This Cookie Policy explains how PingArk, operated by Virtueplanet Services LLP, uses cookies and similar technologies on our website. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers how we handle personal data more broadly. We keep essential cookies to the minimum needed to run the service, and we load analytics and advertising cookies only after you agree.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Cookies let a site remember things between pages and visits, such as keeping you signed in or remembering a preference. We also use similar technologies, such as pixels and local storage, and we refer to all of them as "cookies" here. Cookies set by us are "first party"; cookies set by another company whose tools we use are "third party".

Essential cookies

These cookies are required for the site and the app to work. They keep you signed in, keep the service secure, and remember your cookie choice. Because the service cannot run without them, they are always on and do not need consent.

Checkout cookies

Our checkout is provided by Paddle, which is our merchant of record. It opens on our own pages rather than sending you to another site, and when you open it, Paddle may set cookies of its own. These can only appear when you open the checkout. Simply browsing the site never involves them.

Paddle uses its cookies to run the payment, keep it secure, and detect fraud, and most of them live inside its own secure checkout frame rather than on our site. Because Paddle is the seller for your purchase, it decides what it sets and it controls that data rather than us, so we cannot list its cookies here and keep the list honest as it changes. Paddle describes them in its own privacy notice, and you can manage your choices with it there.

If you never open the checkout, none of this applies to you. Our Privacy Policy explains the rest of what Paddle handles and why.

Analytics and advertising cookies

With your consent, we use third-party tools to understand how our marketing pages perform and to measure our advertising. We load and manage these through Google Tag Manager, which only runs after you accept. They are off until you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, none of them are loaded. They are used only on our public marketing pages, never inside the signed-in dashboard.

These providers may process some data outside Europe under the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your data.

Managing your consent

When analytics and advertising cookies are in use, you see a banner on your first visit with two clear choices: Accept all or Reject non-essential. We remember your choice for 180 days. Declining loads none of the tools above and does not affect your use of the site.

You can change your choice at any time:

Controlling cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of specific tools directly. Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics, and your ad settings control Google Ads personalisation. Meta offers ad preferences in your account settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the app from working.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no agreed standard for how sites should respond, so we do not rely on it. Our cookie banner gives you a clear, direct way to accept or decline instead.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as our tools or the law change. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.
